We have a favorite story these days

so I wasn’t surprised to come home on Friday to find

inspired baking in the shape of butterflies with food coloring

and a craft with Papa.

He is a darn good papa.

means we walk the full trail around El Dorado

over a mile

and we stop to exercise

sharing the weight of the baby

enjoying the clouds

and ending with a snack.

to sit together

and make funny faces.

He is teaching her well

at one years old.

A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

enjoyed having the park to ourselves

Grammy sent a coupon for a $2 short stack.
Paul has been insisting we go to Denny’s.
